Ramadan 2Go

It's Ramadan 2Go that brings so much joy to the people who wait for us every year in Ramadan. Alpha's and Omega Leo's very tiring yet very successful projects is one of the most projects we look up to. Once we see the faces of the families when we hand them the food we have been collecting the money for, putting in boxes and distributing, all of the hard work and exhaustion suddenly evaporates. 

It's their smiles that relieve us.
The project is divided into two sections : the kitchen and the stockroom. Alpha's and Omega Leo's members are divided in these two places every single day of Ramadan for multiple hours to guarantee that no mistakes are done and that nothing is missing in the boxes. 
It's not just a charity project, it's also a very fun and social project!
The endless stories in the kitchen and the storeroom and all of the laughs we share with each other are definitely one of the huge reasons why we always look up to this project yearly.

Lavender

The event, named by the ribbon color, Lavender, that represents all types of cancer, is a cycling event which is a fund-raising event for all children diagnosed with cancer in AL Meery and Al Shatby Hospital. In cooperation with iCancervive, we're very proud to present our upcoming project! 
Riding your bike from 4x4 until Bibioltheca Alexandrina helps you donate for cancer, for that we'd like to help these special heroes who need us. 
Supporting the Fighters, Admiring the Survivors, Honoring the Taken and never ever giving up hope, we all wish that cancer only becomes a zodiac sign. 

Stars Carnival

Stars Carnival. The event in which not only the children with special needs who participated in Ana Mawhub come, but also many others were invited. For that we want to see more and more smiles on their faces and develop ourselves in losing ourselves in the service of others. We know that all of our efforts in making this day as good and fun as possible are worth it when we see their laughs brighting up the whole place. It's their happiness that matters to us. It's being a highlight of their year that satisfies us. It's about being there for them that matters. We can't do great things for them, but we can do small things with great love.

Stars Carnival isn't only a day for playing, it's also a day for performing. Many children perform their talents in front of everyone on that special day, whether it's singing, dancing or so much more. We don't separate the people with special needs with the able body people; because once you're in the boat and you're with other people, you're basically on the same level as everyone else in the boat.

LEO ACT

Alpha Leo is a social charity club. It not only focuses on charity and community work but also on helping each of its members establish a solid social network. To tie together its' two aspects, we created the LeoAct. A friendly football game between NGOs for interaction between the members and the raised money goes to charity. Since the LeoAct is a binding point between both missions of Alpha Leo, we are strongly committed to improving it on a yearly basis.

The LeoAct was typically held at Sporting Club of Alexandria however this has changed last year to MVP sports Centre in Green Plaza. It is a tradition that is appreciated by all Alpha Leo's members and a chance to gather with like-minded people who set community work as a priority in their lives. We, as an entity, believe that one is strongly influenced by the people one surrounds himself with, so we try to surround ourselves with motivated, ambitious and successful people. The LeoAct is a chance to collaborate with other NGOs to further develop our community and reach higher scales as to what we can achieve together. Here's to many more years of improvement and of team work.

Ana Mawhoub

Ana mawhoub! An event like none other and definitely one of our greatest if not our greatest success. Ana Mawhoub is not solely a random event held at the Library of Alexandria, one of the icons of talent and culture, but it's a special event that uncovers the hidden talents of people with special needs that definitely have a lot to offer. Ana Mawhoub is a high-scale event to which 1500+ people go. Political, cultural and entertainment icons support and attend the event on a yearly basis. The art, the music and the dancing are presented with such love and passion that one leaves the event with a glow in their heart and a smile on their face. For us, the night of Ana Mawhoub is an unforgettable one. The spirit is above the clouds and the laughter is always present. A night of pure happiness, celebration of talent and appreciation of art.

It's 12 degrees outside and we all can't help but get cozy under our blankets at home with a hot drink. Imagine if it was 12 degrees inside your house too. You'd be freezing everywhere. Imagine the rain pouring down on you in your house, the only place that offers you shelter. Imagine not having anywhere to shield you. Many houses nowadays have no roofs which deprives many unfortunate people of the warmth and safety of a home. A home is a place where you feel secure and where your soul is at ease. There's nothing worse than to never feel safe and comfortable anywhere. We realise that. That's why we came up with the idea of Tas2eef beyout, another one of the closest pojects to our hearts. Since this project touched us all, profoundly, half of the donated money (77470 L.E.) actually came from Alpha Leo members and the other half was collected from people who were willing to help. Together we managed to help 12 families. Seeing children who previously lived in roofless houses experience their new house makes us all realise how incredibly blessed and lucky we all are. Sometimes we take the simplest blessings for granted. But that's what Alpha Leo is all about, counting your blessings and helping other people who are in need.

BSLA

Since BSLA1 we've been dedicated to deliver donated money to people in need. Throughout the 13 years of our event, we've made it a point to focus on medical aims that will critically benefit our society. The well-known slogan 'dribble to save a ____' has accompanied us all the way through the years. From saving children's lives and helping those with kidney complications to saving people with heart disease desperately in need of an operation. Medical issues are very heartbreaking as they not only make a patient and his family sad and helpless but when they're present with financial problems they put a gigantic strain on the entire family that often ends up losing hope.

That's why we cannot stress how important it is to have events, fundraisers, sales etc. in order to raise money for patients in need. We can proudly say that we've raised up to 190.000 L.E. for the sake of bettering our society. Now, BSLA is not all work and organization, the excitement leading up to the event and the fun that we have during those short 10 days give us the best memories with people that we love and care about. This event gathers people that want to make a change and indeed this is the best part, knowing that we made a difference in someone's life. The very fact that we were able to help Hepatitis patients treat their conditions, supply patients with blood, equip hospitals with ventilators to save someone continues to be our motivation to go after more. BSLA is not just a sports event, it has a special meaning for everyone involved in it.
